Medium White Satin Matt Bowl (01-06)
Dimensions: H 8 x W 18 cm
The Flow Series is Arun Sharma’s ongoing exploration of movement, touch, and quiet beauty of handmade pottery. Each piece is wheel-thrown in a loose, intuitive Japanese-influenced style that allows the clay to undulate and swirl to its own natural rhythm. No two forms are identical and every bowl, cup or plate has its own character, while still sitting comfortably within a cohesive family.
Made in small batches at Kaolin Studios in Lewisham (Sydney’s inner west). the Flow Series celebrates subtle individuality. These pieces are designed to be used every day: functional, durable, and deeply tactile. They feel good in the hand, look beautiful together (even when the glazes are mixed and matched), and bring a sense of warmth and joyful movement to the table. The collection includes bowls, cups, and plates in a range of glazes: black satin matt, white satin matt, ice blue celadon, pink crackle and an orange/off white creamy matt on white stoneware or porcelain. All pieces are high-fired to cone 9/10 temperatures.

About the Flow series
Arun first developed his Flow Series in Canada, New York, and Japan in the Early 2000’s. Each piece is thrown with an intentionaly “loose” hand- guiding the clay rather than controlling it- so the organic movement of the process becomes part of the final object. The result is a collection of functional forms that feel alive, expressive, and unmistakably handmade.
